In a study of 120 identical twin renal transplant recipients in the US, 38 patients (32%) were not on immunosupression when discharged from hospital. Of these 38 patients during 5 years follow-up, 5 grafts failed and 1 patient died which was not statistically significant from patients receiving immunosuppression at discharge.<ref>https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19077892/</ref><ref>https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30079258/</ref>

Btw as early as in 1954 successful renal transplantation was performed between two monozygotic twins, with recipient survival for 9 years<ref>https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19077892/</ref>.

In<ref>https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18808409/</ref>, authors identified 194 probable identical twin transplantations in OTPN database. 29% of them at the discharge from hospital and 66% at the end of 1 year were not on immunosuppression drugs.
