List of possible reasons to agree on own head transplantation

  1. late stage cancer with multiple metastases but intact head
  2. multi-organ failure?
  3. sudden extensive traumatic injuries (though in that case there is usually no time to analyze options and sign contract and we can't contact such person fast enough to offer the option of head transplantation)

From comments on this russian-language post:
- chronic pulmonary insufficiency (though isn't it easier to solve with ventilator machine? also, it's smth more often seen in very old people when brain is probably in mild dementia + would not probably handle transplantation well) - including pulmonary fibrosis, cystic/fibrotic lung remodeling
- Liver cirrhosis of all stripes from hepatitis C, and other fatty liver dystrophies (though isn't it simpler to cure with part of liver transplantation or with even less radical options?
- Increasing renal failure. (so isn't it simpler to cure with renal transplantation or dialysis?
